Several activities are available for ladies of all ages to encourage women to grow in their faith in Christ, to develop and strengthen intimate friendships with other women, and to provide opportunities to serve our church and reach our community for Christ.
WEEKLY Bible Study – Tuesdays – 10:00 a.m. (Sept. – May)
Full-or part-time homemakers, retired or semi-retired seniors – all meet weekly for an intense 2-hour study of God’s Word as well as excellent Christian fellowship. Many of the ladies enjoy extending their morning fellowship by going out together for lunch at nearby restaurants after their Bible study. Babysitting at the church is provided for those who need it.
WEEKLY Ladies’ Visitation – Mondays – 10:00 a.m.
Every Monday visitation partners begin visiting TCBC first-time visitors, shut-in’s, hospital patients and widows(ers) to give information about TCBC ministries and/or offer words of encouragement, comfort and cheer. Visitation teams also bring gifts of homemade bread, flowers, birthday cards, etc. This ladies visitation ministry is a viable way to fulfill TCBC Mission Statement: Building the body of Christ by loving God, connecting with others, and reaching the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
MONTHLY Daughters of Grace Mtg. – 2nd Monday – 7 p.m.
Each month women and older daughters meet for Christian fellowship (Bible study, prayer, care & share talk), for service opportunities (writing notes of encouragement on cards to TCBC missionaries, sending care packages to TCBC college students, etc.) and for food & fun (picnics, Christmas parties, etc.)
MONTHLY Ladies/Teen girls Volleyball – 4th Sunday p.m.
Ladies of all ages, including competitive teen girls and older ladies who just want to have friendly fun on the court, always have a blast each time they get together to play volleyball immediately following the evening service.
YEARLY (ONGOING) Secret Pal Ministry
“Honour widows that are widows indeed.” I Tim. 5:3
The Secret Pal Ministry allows opportunity for all ladies/teens to minister to the widows in our congregation. Widows surely miss their sweethearts. When they receive a birthday card, or a box of chocolates on Valentine’s Day, or an Easter egg, or a “thinking of you” card on the day of their spouse’s home-going, their hearts are brightened and encouraged by these acts of compassion from their secret pal. Secret pal identities are revealed at the end of the year at a lovely luncheon, and new names of widows are drawn for the upcoming year by the ladies/teen girls who participate in this ministry of mercy to widows.
